Camel Race Explained . . .

Real money is exchanged for 'camel bucks'. Camel bucks are then wagered on your favorite camel. Camels are raced in groups of six. Bingo ping pong-sized balls are rolled in a large cage. If the numbers 2 and 4 turn up, camels in slots 2 and 4 move one space ahead. The first camel to reach the tenth space is the 'winner'. Winning odds are computed parimutuel style, just like at a horse race. Winners are paid in camel bucks, which can be exchanged for cash at the end of the night. There will also be a 'Best Decorated Camel' contest. Votes cost $1 and the winner will be announced after the 1st race.
